Yeah these windmills they say that they're just windmills but yet they're hooked to electricity and people don't understand that a windmill turns by the wind you don't turn them on to where there's electricity running to them in order to turn them on so they can make electricity because a windmill you can't turn a regular windmill back in the day you didn't shut it off you they just ran constantly didn't matter if they were if the wind was blowing or not they or night they ran all the time when they was windy so why do they turn these windmills off on a windy day but yet taxpayers got to pay all this money for it when the electricity goes to different state then with the damn windmills are in they sell the energy to other states

I can answer all your wind turbine questions 😄. If a whole bunch of them weren't turning, they were probably in reduction. Reduction is when the grid does not need the power, it has ample supply, so the turbine output is reduced.

As far as the wind turbines are concerned, the thing is they have no way to store excess energy, there aren't massive battery banks ready to hold excess wind power. So they can only run them when the demand is there

Had a car that would drag the rears in the cold. A Scion. Parking brake cable issue. If we drove when the ground is a bit sloppy and got the cable wet, it would freeze overnight and not release in the morning. We had to remember to never set the parking brake when it was going to be below freezing or that would happen. The funny thing was the car would drive normally if the ground was snow-packed, it wouldn't really feel any different until you reached a patch of clean pavement.

Do not run them because there’s no need for the electricity or the transmission lines cannot handle the excess electricity so they shut them off

Getting energy out of a windmill is unfortunately not the chief reasons they were built; much of the reason has to do with tax credits. Any electric they produce is a bonus.
